Boogie boogie till the break o' dawn...
18/06/2008
What's cracking people!

We're keeping the pressure up here at Artizan HQ, out RIGHT NOW, our next 12". The long awaited 'Undeniable Truth' which features New Jersey wordsmith Rich Medina. Produced by Jafar & Touch, it follows up their Marcus Begg penned 'Desertlands' project very nicely. Check out a sample on this very page! (See right). The 12" will be first with downloads to follow in the middle of July.

Coming up on Monday 7th July, we are privileged to be playing alongside Jennifer Moore and Band at Cargo. The night will feature an exclusive showcase of Jennifer Moore and Poetiquette performing live. The night will also feature Artizan's head honchos Jafar & Andy 'Touch Fingers' spinning a delicious selection of New Soul, Funk and Boogie! Tickets are available from the Cargo website www.cargo-london.com. For more information check out www.myspace.com/poetiquettelive or www.myspace.com/jennifermooremusic.

We also continue on our quest to bring back the deep to London's Sundays. 'Uptownboogiedown' our monthly collaboration with 4bit Art&Music rolls on. The next event is SUNDAY JULY 13TH featuring Demarkus Lewis, who flies in live and direct from Dallas ahead of his forthcoming e.p for Artizan. He joins Jafar, Maxime Cescau, Will Webster, Micky Galliano and Jimmy P who also happens to be our new designer. Its an extended sesh too as we hook up with East London favourite Retox at Sosho, we'll be hosting the UTBD afterparty there from 12am-6am. Looking ahead catch Poetiquette the month after on August 10th (you can also see them back at Cargo, first Monday in July).  To see just exactly what craziness you're in for at the Arts Club, check out the pics in our forum, read the reviews from Time Out in the press section or  simply go to www.uptownboogiedown.com

Looking ahead at other highlights over the summer, Jafar continues his residency at The End / AKA; His next appearance at The Players is on Tuesday 15th July. No rest for the boy either with further releases coming on Berwick Street, Universal Vibes, appearances at Pacha, Egg and for the legendary KCC SOUNDSYSTEM at this years Notting Hill Carnival; Alongside Sancho Panza and Good Times, KCC is one of only three proper House soundsystems at Carnival and with 2million people in attendance over the two days, the vibe is always legendary. Check in with Jafar's myspace for full diary dates www.myspace.com/jafarshouse

OUT NOW and still hot to trot...

Part one of Poetiquette's two-part LP's:

'Lyrically speaking' is a 7 track studio collection of the bands most popular live tracks, it also boasts a tasty remix from boogie man of the mo' Yam Who? Check out samples on  www.myspace.com/poetiquettelive or see our press section for feedback from IDJ magazine
